Umma Hüsla Hackathon 2023

On May 12 and 13, the Umma Hüsla Hackathon took place again in the Postgarage in Dornbirn. This year’s motto was #growit – Time and space for growth. People. Ideas. Projects.

The hackathon was again organized by the association Plattform für Digitale Initiativen. The goal of the hackathon is to meet new people, exchange ideas/knowledge and grow through new approaches, in teams or alone.

This year, we also participated again as a sponsoring partner as well as with a company team and developed an app with which plants, people, animals and objects were photographed and subsequently evaluated, e.g. who owns the cup, the person or the animal is called. Thus, our software and image processing departments worked together excellently and successfully tried out new frameworks. Once again, we experienced a successful and fun hackathon.

This was my first hackathon and I personally super enjoyed it. I was positively surprised by the many different projects that were implemented by the teams. The people were all super nice and in a good mood. We also had no shortage of food and drink. Everything was super organized! I will definitely participate again.
